The Phils advance to the World Series!

Well OK, it's actually the Reading Phils - I watched them bounce the Binghamton Mets last night, so they're moving on to face the Bowie Baysox (BAL's farm team) for the Eastern League crown. I hope this playoff experience helps the young prospects like Jake Thompson and J P Crawford down the road.

I thought this was a time warp to 2008.

Damn.

All I know is this was the best sports moment in my life. Walking out onto Frankford Ave after they WON was fucking great. The bars were packed. There was champagne and beer everywhere. Chants. Joy!!

And yes, I did attend the WS parade. I knew that that are few and far between. It was crowded as all hell, and you couldn't move around. Everyone was drunk and delirious. It was GRAND. I was in city hall as the team rolled by. I watched it mostly through the windows on the staircases within city hall. I will never forget. It was AWESOME.

Let's do it again sometime guys.
