Hi everyone! I'm surprised to see any activity other than spam on the
newsgroup.

Bright spots: Mikael Franco is a future all-star. Odubel Herrera is a
keeper. Cameron Rupp is learning how to hit. Nola, Eickoff, Morgan
appear to be solid starting pitchers. Aaron Altherr may be the winner in
the Phillies several-year quest to clone Jason Werth.

Faded spots: I don't see a phuture in Philly for Cody Asche or Dominic
Brown...they can't hit and are sub-par in the field. When J.P. Crawford
comes up to take over at short, with Andres Blanco making a strong case
to be the super-sub and with Darnell Sweeney in the fold, either Freddy
Galvis or Cesar Hernandez is expendable. Maybe both.

Just my 2 cents.

We've had a great summer here at the Jersey Shore.

Yes indeed, the overdue rebuilding process is finally underway, and we're seeing the first fruits of the team's endeavor. There will be hits (Nola) and misses (Nick Pivetta?) along the way, but let's stay the course and avoid the big-name free agents.
